Telecom Discipline Lead

As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner, NES Advantage is now looking for a Telecom Discipline Lead (new tender project) with experience from onshore or offshore projects.

Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing? 

• Acting as the Telecom Discipline Lead
• Preparing telecom basis of design, control and protection philosophy, as well as black start philosophy and power management system specification
• Interfacing with ICS coordinating telecom design and its interface with other disciplines
• Participating in studies and concept development
• Providing technical support to construction and commissioning
• Ensuring the expectations towards HMS and quality are fulfilled
• Driving the Aker Solutions project execution model to meet/exceed the requirements in the project

Qualifications we think you should have:

• Master or Bachelor in relevant field
• 5-10 years’ relevant experience from project work and preferably oil and gas/ renewable projects
• Robust skills within telecommunication systems such as PAGA, Telephone System, Data Networks, Radio Link, UHF Radio, CCTV, Telecom Power Supply, GMDSS, VHF
• Strong knowledge of typical engineering tools, input and use of technical registers
• Experience with telecom package preparation, handling, and follow-up
• Good knowledge of Comos and Windows softwares
• Fluent in Norwegian and English both verbal and written.

 
Work location: Fornebu (Oslo), Norway 
Contract duration: July 2026 with option for extension
