Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

Work location: preferably Fornebu. Other locations are open for discussion

What will you be doing?
- Participate in studies and concept development
- Responsible for the overall automation system design
- SAS, SIL, F&G and emergency systems
- Developing control philosophies, functional specifications, and system / network architectures for automation systems
- Preparation of I/O schedules, control narratives and Cause & effect diagrams
- Functional safety related activities such as HAZOP/ LOPA reviews, design of Safety Instrumented functions and SIL verification
- Alarm management activities such as developing alarm schedules and participation in alarm rationalization workshops
- Familiarity with networking protocols and interfacing of 3rd party systems with main automation systems
- Ensure discipline integration and coordination with other project disciplines Follow up deliverables from vendors
- Provide technical support to construction and commissioning
- Input and use of technical registers (COMOS, MIPS, Client systems, etc. )
- Make sure the expectations towards HMS and quality are fulfilled
- Take actions towards our project execution model to meet requirements in the project
- Build network towards the client, vendors and internally in the group.
- Bachelor or Master in relevant field
- 10+ years’ experience as SAS System Engineer from onshore or offshore projects
- Previous experience with ESD and F&G is needed
- Software skills: Microsoft office
- Available to start ASAP
- Fluent in English, both written and oral
