As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: SAS Engineer with experience in onshore or offshore projects.
 
Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.
 
 
What will you be doing?
  • Participate in Equinor M&M modification and maintenance contract, often as discipline responsible:
  • Develop functional design solutions within and across disciplines
  • Execute and coordinate technical procurement activities, including bulk MTO
  • Handle engineering documentation, termination, and loop design
  • Register systems for tagged items
  • Conduct onshore/offshore field surveys
  • Manage tag register as Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) or Discipline Task Responsible (DTR)
  • Have detailed knowledge of telecom, including programs, documents, and technical details
  • Handle supplier purchases
  • Design control systems (e.g., ESDS, PSO, PCS)
  • Specify, prepare, and update layouts, termination, and loop designs
  • Update registers with new tags and documentation
  • Prepare data sheets, documentation, and vendor follow-up for instrument/automation packages
  • Prepare job cards
  • Prepare MTO for bulk and tagged items
 
Qualifications we think you should have:
  • Preferably 5 years of experience
  • Fluent in Norwegian
  • Specify, dimension, and integrate process control & monitoring systems, fire & gas detection, and protection/shutdown systems (including field devices and safety shutdown systems like ESD and PSD)
  • Take responsibility for the procurement package, including multidiscipline tasks
  • Develop and maintain system design documentation (system philosophies, specifications, alarm specifications)
  • Translate process functionality to the system supplier
  • Follow up on supplier documentation and verify software and hardware deliverables
  • Able to work closely with others and independently
  • Hands-on management skills
