QA/QC Engineer - Nuclear

NES Fircroft are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA/QC Engineer for a major nuclear project based in Surrey. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of all project activities, particularly focusing on nuclear projects, power plants, and turbine generators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement QA/QC plans and procedures for the project.
  • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the quality control processes for nuclear projects, power plants, and turbine generators.
  • Prepare and review quality documentation, including inspection and test plans, quality plans, and reports.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage non-conformance reports and corrective actions.
  • Ensure all quality control documentation is compiled and completed for final handover.
  • Participate in plant preparation, outage work, and repairs, ensuring all activities meet quality and safety standards.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies to resolve quality issues.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience in QAQC roles within nuclear projects, power plants, and turbine generators.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and quality control principles and practices.
  • Experience in preparing plant, outage work, and repairs.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification.

Additional Information:
  • This position is inside IR35, and the contract will be for 12 months.
  • Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
