As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage are now looking for a Planning Lead in Stavanger who can help us succeed.

Aker Solutions take care of energy assets in a Life Cycle perspective. From the start to end of production Aker Solutions ensures safe operations, optimizes field utilization, and enables field life-extensions. We do business development and execute modifications and maintenance projects. There is a global trend towards decarbonization, and we aim to help our customers to decarbonize their operations and measure their emissions to manage them more efficiently, for instance by delivering brownfield electrification of existing offshore facilities. Now we explore opportunities in the aftermarket for renewables, to deliver offshore maintenance for the renewable sector when the market is ready. Aker Solutions employs approximately 11,000 people in more than 20 countries.

What will you be doing?

  • Overall responsibility for Low classified projects
  • Establish and execute the planning and manning strategy for project with a HSSE mindset
  • Develop project execution schedules for all phases of the project cycle and ensure the schedule meet the contract and project requirements
  • Ensure performance of planning and reporting functions is in accordance with planning management philosophy and strategy
  • Can approve vacation / absence up to a working week for personnel in the project

Qualifications we think you should have:
  • Master or Bachelor, management or other industry experience may compensate for lack of formal education
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within planning or project execution within the industry
  • Be continuously updated on project main status and challenges, and act for the project’s best development
  • Ensure improvement projects for continuously embedding work efficiency initiatives and measures into the planning function
  • With high focus on digitalization and automation of processes
  • Ensure reporting to planning from all departments, sites, disciplines and subcontractors.
  • Advice and follow up corrective actions
  • Responsible for schedule consequence analysis, forecasts and that approved changes are implemented in the plan
  • Manage team and maintain a positive and motivating working environment
  • Perform leadership activities for own discipline, such as introduction to new team member
