Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs, offshore wind HVDC topsides and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters, and decommissioning and recycling.We have highly skilled, social, and creative people working in our Piping & Layout department. What will you be doing?
Overall performance of engineering discipline activities as a Piping Design Engineer and deliverables in the assigned scope, including:
• Checking isometrics (E3D/Navisworks).
• Detailed knowledge of P&ID’s, PFD’s, and piping design.
• Coordination with internal and external customers.
• As-built and LCI deliverables.
• Isometric checking as required.
Qualifications we think you should have:
• Good knowledge of E3D/Navisworks.
• Detailed knowledge of Norsok and international design codes/standards for the offshore industry.
• Good communication skills and a team player.
• Ability to coordinate with the design team and contribute/add value in multi-discipline design activities.
• Engineering degree with experience in the offshore-related industry.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
Work location: Fornebu (Oslo) or Stavanger, Norway
Contract duration: Until March 2025 with an option for extension
Start date: Immediately. Only candidates holding a valid work visa for Norway will be considered for this role.
