As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner, NES Advantage is now looking for an: Operation & Maintenance Engineer (Hugin A project) with experience of onshore or offshore projects.

Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing?
 
  • Providing technical support for the operation and maintenance of oil and gas facilities
  • Evaluating and resolving potential operational and maintenance issues
  • Developing and implementing maintenance plans and schedules according to client CMMS
  • Providing input and collaborating with other disciplines during the equipment specification and procurement processes
  • Performing consequence classification studies to assess the potential impact of failures or accidents on safety, environment, and operations
  • Conducting Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) to identify failure modes, their causes, and consequences
  • Implementing Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies to develop optimized maintenance plans
  • Recommending appropriate maintenance strategies based on consequence analysis, FMECA, and RCM results
  • Establishing condition monitoring programs for equipment and systems as needed
     

Qualifications we think you should have:
 
  • Master degree or Bachelor with relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of operational and maintenance requirements for oil and gas facilities
  • Previous experience with EPCI projects
  • Good understanding of FMECA
  • Understanding of equipment (electrical/instrument/safety/mechanical) functionality and performance
  • Familiar with RCM and CBM approaches and implementation
  • Ability to develop and optimize operation and maintenance procedures
  • Good software skills: CMMS (e.g. SAP, workmate) and MS Office Applications
  • Previous experience working with Aker is a plus
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
     

Work location: Fornebu (Oslo), Norway. Other locations within Norway can be discussed, if needed.
Contract duration: August 2026 with option for extension
