Job Title:- Mud logger
Location:- Al Ahmadi - Kuwait
Role Summary:-
As a Mud logger, you’ll work alongside the mudlogging crew, and you’ll be interacting frequently with geologist and drilling team to ensure that operation are carried out efficiently and safely. You will be responsible of data monitoring, sample collection & description, gas analysis and equipment maintenance.
Essential Responsibilities:-
• Some of the roles and responsibilities but not limited to the below:
• Ensure all operator and Baker Hughes HS&E policies and procedures are understood and enforced
• Understand and monitor all well site operations
• Notify well site personnel of any anticipated or observed drilling problems related to geology, detection of a kick, or lost circulation.
• Analyses geological samples of rock cuttings from the well.
• Uses various laboratory techniques to evaluate detailed and complex data for signs of oil or gas.
• Interpret information and provide feedback to the drilling team to enhance safety and success.
• Operate and maintain software for recording sample analysis in database.
• Taking on the primary health and safety role for the well through constant monitoring of all critical drilling parameters.
• Undertaking some on-site maintenance, for which knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems are useful.
• Assisting the well site geologist during drilling, coring operations.
• Reporting to the well site geologist and the oil company in written reports.
• Monitor gases coming up out of the wellbore as an indicator of hydrocarbons, prepares and analyses them geologically, writes a report on them.
• Ensures Gas system in a proper working order.
• Ensures sensors are in proper working order.
• Establish accurate and comprehensive Logs as per client's format. Update all logs, include standard SLS set, time logs prints and plots requested by Client daily and as required.
• Rig-Up unit and all equipment as required, conforming to scope of work. Ensure all installations are performed in a safe manner.
• Supervise the Sample Catching crew.
Qualifications Requirements:-
• Graduate in Science with Geology as a major / Engineering degree
Desired Characteristics:-
• Minimum Three (03) years of experience in Mud Logging Services including Two (02) years’ experience as Mud Logger preferably in High Pressure, High Temperature and H2S environment Or (2) years’ work experience as sample Catcher in Kuwait.
• Mud logging Training Certificates required
• Work Experience certificates/pay slips required.
