The project is led from Stord, and the position operates on a 15/13 day rotation schedule.
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.
What will you be doing?
- Assist production teams in resolving technical challenges during construction and installation, including interpreting drawings and job specifications.
- Prepare technical clarifications (TC) with annotated drawings and collaborate with fabrication engineering to create work bases and technical documentation.
- Ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables in line with project plans and procedures.
- Maintain close communication with Work Leaders (FIL), methods teams, fabrication engineering, PRE, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement efforts and strive for high HSSE standards in all aspects of your work.
Qualifications we think you should have:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, including static and rotating systems, as well as installation methods, operation, and maintenance.
- Relevant background and technical education in mechanical engineering or a related field. Relevant construction experience may compensate for formal education.
- Practical experience with processing facilities, engineering principles, and building materials.
- Good understanding of relevant regulations, requirements, and restrictions.
- Previous experience with MIPS is highly valued, and familiarity with AVEVA E3D is a plus.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Norwegian proficiency is an advantage.
