What You’ll Be Doing

  • Planning and executing technical safety deliverables in projects
  • Establishing and updating safety philosophies and strategies
  • Preparing design specifications, detail engineering, and reporting for technical safety systems/equipment, area classification, shutdown, fire & gas detection, fire protection, escape and evacuation, etc.
  • Preparing/updating safety documents and drawings
  • Providing input to procurement packages and following up with suppliers
  • Assessing risk levels for different solutions, including qualitative/quantitative analysis
  • Planning and preparing safety design reviews such as HAZID, safety assessments, and ALARP assessments

Who You Are

  • You have an MSc, BSc, Technical College degree, or equivalent relevant experience
  • At least 2 year of experience within technical safety engineering in Norwegian Oil & Gas or other relevant industries
  • Strong knowledge of Norwegian regulations, NORSOK S-001 and S-002
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards
  • A proactive, communicative team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
  • Able to work independently and based in Norway
  • Fluent in Norwegian and English
