As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner, NES Advantage is now looking for a: Field Instrument Engineer (Tender project) with experience of onshore or offshore projects.

Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

What will you be doing? 

  • Field Instrument detail design philosophy and development

  • Prepare and update engineering documents, technical specifications, and quality assurance of technical documents

  • Interface with other engineering disciplines

  • Update and give input to the engineering database

  • Share technical clarifications between supplier and the project and be the driving force in the distribution of relevant supplier information throughout the project organization

  • Ensures that the quality of Instrument engineering is satisfactory to the internal and external customer needs

  • Lead performance tests and other inspections at supplier premises

  • Follow up and support site work and respond to technical queries


Qualifications we think you should have:
 

  • Bachelor or Master in relevant field

  • Minimum 5-10 years relevant experience as instrumentation engineer

  • Previous onshore and project execution experience required

  • Good Comos and Windows software skills

  • Solution-orientated and technically interested

  • Ability to execute and take responsibility

  • Fluent in Norwegian and English both verbal and writte


Work location: Fornebu (Oslo), Norway 
Contract duration: July 2026 with option for extension
