As Aker Solutions’ global recruitment partner NES Advantage is now looking for: Hydrotest Engineer with experience in onshore or offshore projects.
 
This position is led from Stord and is not a rotation
 
Aker Solutions’ New Build segment delivers oil & gas and renewables offshore developments and fabrication products, mainly focused on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and selective international markets. The segment is responsible for large EPCI projects, both within oil and gas and renewables, including business development and project execution, typically large topsides including fixed or floating substructures, onshore facilities, FPSOs offshore wind HVDC topside and jackets, offshore aquaculture floaters and decommissioning and recycling.

 
What will you be doing?
  • Define testing scope, prepare test isometrics, and work orders based on test activities
  • Conduct design checks, identify errors in preceding deliveries, procedures, and schedules, consulting with Discipline Lead and project supervisor
  • Ensure quality and punctuality of own deliveries according to project plans and procedures
  • Break down the testing scope into manageable tests considering fabrication methods, commissioning boundaries, and P&IDs
  • Establish and follow up on systems, procedures, and routines for testing; report status regularly
  • Provide input on the Scope of Work (SOW) for subcontracting
  • Focus on product quality and gather lessons learned from previous projects to implement improvements
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of procedures, routines, and overall work within the testing group
 
Qualifications we think you should have:
  • Technical college or engineer with 3 years’ experience in hydro testing of pipework
  • Proficient in Norwegian and English both written and spoken.
  • Strong IT skills, active and solution-oriented approach
  • Solid knowledge in hydro testing of pipework
  • Proficient in MIPS and 3D tools such as AutoCAD, E3D, PDMS, Navis, and the MS Office package
